Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander People

Acknolwedgment
The Children's Preschool acknowledges the Dharug people on whose ancestral lands we work, rest and play. We respect our cultural heritage, shared beliefs and continued relationships with this land.
Australia is home to the oldest continuing living culture in the entire world. The richness and diversity of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures in Australia is something we should all take pride in as a nation. Always was and Always will be Aboriginal land.
Our Vision for Reconciliation
Our Vision is to ensure that all children in our education and care learn about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ cultures and perspectives alongside Western curriculums and develop the skills, knowledge and empathy to be future pioneers for change alongside First Nations peoples.
We Welcome you to view our Narragunnawali Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP)
A Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) is a formal commitment to reconciliation. It documents how The Children's Preschool will strengthen relationships, respect and opportunities in the service and with the community.

The Childrens Preschool has been working with Erin Wilkins a Darug woman and an Aboriginal Cultural Educator for Darug Education and Director of the Darug Custodian Aboriginal Corporation.
We have a beautiful well established Bush Tucker Garden that has been 13 years in the making. We are now able to harvest our produce which the children enjoy cooking.
